Let’s be honest: For many of us, the very word “exercise” makes us want to run the other way. And why not? Exercise is work, and it is our nature to take it easy.
So why exercise? For me, it’s the way my bodymind feels when I do. I feel more alive and have more energy. Besides this, I know that exercising is the single most beneficial way to improve my health. In one 15-year study “The people who did strength training at least twice a week were 46% less likely to have died for any reason than were those who strength-trained less often or not at all”. “46% less likely to have died”!! Hello! What more do you need to know? Besides, do you want to drag yourself through the day with only enough energy to plop down in front of the TV at night and eat?
